It was just this month that Volvo Car India launched its most affordable SUV - the XC40 and we'd already told you that the car will come with more variants. Well, the company has finally made that announcement. Volvo had earlier launched the R-Design variant at Rs. 39.9 lakh (ex-showroom India) and that, we were told was an introductory pricing. Now the company has launched two more variants of the XC40 - the Momentum and Inscription. The XC40 D4 Momentum is priced at Rs. 39.9 lakhs and XC40 D4 Inscription costs Rs. 43.9 Lakhs (both prices ex-showroom India). The XC40 R-Design is now available at Rs. 42.9 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The variants of XC40 is feature rich, even the base model Momentum that gets panoramic Sunroof, AWD, front radar, leather upholstery, 9-inch centre touchscreen, Hill Descent Control, rear parking Camera among others.

Charles Frump, Managing Director, Volvo Car India shared, "We are absolutely delighted to have received such a positive response for the newly launched XC40. It's a great beginning for us and we expect it to contribute considerably in achieving 10% segment share by 2020."

Volvo Cars recorded the best ever sales in India with 33 per cent growth in volumes in Jan-June 2018 compared to last year. The robust sales performance of 1242 units is spearheaded by the XC60 which contributed 25 per cent of the total volume.
